Our summer course of Disability, Exclusion, and Schooling took place twice a week as a lecture-style seminar. The tables were covered in brown paper and students were given markers, crayons, paint, and other tools to doodle, think, and take notes. Each week, we added more marks to the same paper, layering thought, feeling, and concepts over and through each other. At the end, we made a book out of everything we had amassed. Here are some snapshots from our scribbles/collective thinking.
