This is a scene sketch of the prelude to the play "Interference" in the form of a tiny tunnel book. Collage elements come together to form layers of a stage. In the front is a small figure named Fred, drawn by artist Alana Guarino, positioned at a projector. Light shines from the projector, illuminating the stage, and Fred's ideas.

ALANA: Hey, stop typing for a minute. Just notice this moment. Alana sitting on the bike trail. Maria, writing all of this stuff on the back of a sheet that you took from an installation designed by a person who made art when she was manic about a boy she imagined who left his room twenty years ago and never came back.

Beautiful. Fucking beautiful.

[car honks]

MARIA: You there?

[BEEP]

MARIA: Alana, are you still there? I cannot hear you.

[Wind blows]

MARIA and ALANA: INTERFERENCE!

Hello,

Welcome to Interference. This is a drama that emerged between two sisters, Maria and Alana. We are not exactly sure when or how. We also can’t really tell you why. We can tell you that it matters.

Our most kind and humblest regards,

Maria and Alana
